I also intend to make the undercarriages detachable when the well doors are closed during the flight mode.
#POSTERAZOR CUTOUT POSTER HOW TO#
The problem is how to conceal the hinges when the well doors are closed. Haven't got a satisfactory working mechanism yet and therefore would ask you guys for advices.
My present business is to work out the hinges of the undercarriage well doors. The missiles tips have been touched up after a bit of sanding and PVA glueing. The tail wings have been installed and the water stain on the airbrake needs treatment, but again, later. The plane is getting heavier and I doubt whether the original design with the LEX attached would be able to hold my up-scaled model in a secure manner. Apart from this, I have built an almost inch-thick hollow former using part 20 on thick cardboard and two skewers to strength the front fuselage with the air-intake section. It's quite a bit of a headache but I plan to build my own vac-former. The major problem is that the Warmplastic vacu-former 4圆" which has arrived does not appear to be large enough to vac-form the canopy. I have made a canopy tub intending to make a mould with plaster of paris. Thus some modifications will have to be made but at a later stage. The canopy frame is on the side but after dry fitting, it appears to be smaller than expected. i did not like this, but it could cut out a border between the fotos to simulate the. It may not be to scale as the pilot will have quite long legs to reach the pedals. I found a wish to be able to make poster prints over multi pages. With patience and trial-and-error attitude, you can build the cone very nicely. I find that this is very effective on large scale petal cones. (7) Use a small pin to fill the cracks or uneven slits with PVA and hold until it sets. (6) Final touch up with the end of an old pen and smooth out the unevenness, either over a large piece of eraser and on the cutting board as appropriate.
(5) Before PVA glue sets, work your way up to the tip. (4) When closing the petals which are now in a cone shape, glue a strip on the side, glue and hold the tab at the base of the cone. Clip off excess tapered end of the strip when they are satisfactorily set in place. (3) Glue them in pairs first and then do the same with the pairs. (1) Cut out the petals and cut some strips slightly longer. One thing about petals for cone is that I'm using the following method other than those shown on this forum and I would like to share with you. The wheels are now ready after hours of hand-filing and the fuel tanks done.
